Growing up in Overland Park, KS, I tried about every sport there was trying to find something I enjoyed and excelled at. You name the sport, I tried it and quit about six months later… Until my brother introduced me to CrossFit during my sophomore year of high school. I was full on addicted. When I started, I was only fifteen so I could only technically drive to the gym if it was “school, home, work, or church” so I began cleaning the bathrooms so I could afford my membership and call it “work” and I’ve never looked back. I never thought of myself as an athlete until I came to CrossFit, but I’ve found strength in myself I wouldn’t have been able to find in any other sport. Through CrossFit, I become physically, emotionally, and even spiritually stronger (from organizations like Faith RX’D).
I’ve been doing CrossFit for over three years now, and got introduced into Olympic weightlifting about a year and half ago. Currently, serving on the leadership team of Faith RX’D. And since coming to Tulsa, I’ve been so grateful for T-Town, for the people, programming, and atmosphere; and now I am extremely excited to be a part of the T-Town team.
